The developers tried to make the interface a bit more intuitive and easy-to-use for everyone, which is why many gimmicks have been simplified, while others have been removed entirely. Hence, you can yet again see the might of centaurs, wyverns and cyclopes on the battlefield, while also taking advantage of the special Blood Rage skill. While this is not really an entirely new addition to the franchise, it should be enough to please those who wanted something new to play with. In essence, the biggest change is represented by the introduction of a new faction, namely the orcs and their capital, the Stronghold. Not only that, but the gameplay itself has been refined, polished, and balanced, in order to make the experience that much more pleasant and enjoyable. Heroes of Might and Magic V: Tribes of the East is an expansion pack developed in order to improve the original game from every aspect, while also adding a lot of new content to provide the players with more scenarios and campaigns to enjoy. A new faction and plenty gameplay improvements It lacked the depth of the first titles in the series and it dumbed down too many things to make it a cult classic, but the overall gameplay mechanics were strong and everyone could see that a small part of Heroes 3 still lived inside. Although it didn’t manage to make too much of an impression when it was first released, the fifth episode in the Heroes of Might and Magic saga was certainly not a bad game.
